Talavera de la Reina is a modern, vibrant town of about 86,000 residents in Castilla-La Mancha. The plant boasts state-of-the-art technology in an unbeatable location.

Talavera de la Reina (pronounced tah-la-VAIR-ah day la RAIN-ah), an historical town that dates back to Celtic times, was described by Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote de la Mancha, as “the best land in Castille.”

Local gastronomy centers on game meats such as venison, partridge, boar and hare. You can also find exquisite, locally produced cheese and honey.

The town’s market is a key attraction, with sales of local artisan products (notably ceramics and leather), as well as guided tours of places of historical interest and authentic street theater.

The nearest metropolitan center, less than an hour away by car, is the regional capital, Toledo, one of the most iconic cities in the country. This beautiful city, more than 2,000 years old, was declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987.
