Tracking the drawdown in the commodity accounts was a challenge for schools prior to the development of the Commodity Optimization Resource Service (CORS), a web-based commodity tracking system available through Schreiber Foods.

Utilizing the CORS system, all members of the supply chain (schools, third-party distributors and state agencies) can access real-time information concerning the balance of commodity raw materials, the status of orders, as well as generate the reports necessary to remain in compliance with regulatory agencies. We automated what was a very time-consuming process, with the opportunity for error, to provide a comprehensive, easy-to-use information database.
