Tenerife (pronounced ten-eh-REEF-ay) is the largest and most populous island of the seven Canary Islands of Spain, and it’s a tourist’s dream.

With more than 10 million visitors a year, the city is a potpourri of experiences – with gorgeous beaches, tropical forests, designer shops, unique cuisine, plenty of nightlife and one of the world’s largest carnivals.

The island is also known for its drama and has the highest elevation of Spain. Pico del Teide is Spain’s tallest peak and the third-largest volcano in the world. It’s surrounded by a moonscape of rock formations and intense volcanic colors.
