What’s happening

Schreiber Foods announced today it will invest more than $267 million to expand its process-cheese network by building a new manufacturing facility in Carthage, Missouri. The investment will help Schreiber meet growing customer demand while strengthening its ability to deliver the exceptional quality, food safety and service customers depend on. The facility is expected to open in 2028 and create approximately 100 new jobs. The project will expand Schreiber's process-cheese production capacity and reinforce the company’s position as the customer-brand leader in the category.

Schreiber Foods and Ascendion today announced a multi-year strategic partnership to transform Schreiber’s global operations and software development using agentic AI, advancing the company’s vision to do good through food. Through this partnership, Ascendion will equip Schreiber’s capability centers with AI-native technology to fuel sustainable growth and accelerate innovation across more than 40 locations on five continents.

Through the Schreiber Foods Foundation, we’re proud to partner with nonprofits in our communities working to address food insecurity, housing and primary education. To give organizations more time to plan and to allow for a more thoughtful review, our grant application deadline is now May 30. Applications received by then will be considered during our annual funding cycle, with decisions shared in September.

Something big is happening at our Brazil plants — and it’s worth celebrating. Both Rio Azul and Porto Feliz have officially earned Great Place to Work® certification, a recognition that reflects the supportive, people‑first culture our teams are building every day. The certification is largely based on the Trust Index™ survey, where partners share honest feedback about leadership, workplace culture and their overall experience. And the Brazil teams showed something powerful: They feel heard — and they see real progress.
