GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN — To celebrate 80 years in business, Schreiber Foods is donating $160,000 in support of local and global hunger relief efforts, providing thousands of meals to families facing food insecurity.
“This milestone anniversary is a moment to reflect on the people and communities who’ve supported us over the past eight decades,” said Schreiber President and CEO Ron Dunford in a news release. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back in a way that aligns with our values and helps nourish others.”
Giving back is part of our DNA. Whether it’s through our products, our customers, or our people, we’re committed to making a difference.
The donation includes $80,000 impact grants to Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States, and Rise Against Hunger, a global nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger worldwide.
It’s part of our long-standing Doing Good Through Food initiative and in conjunction with our4th annual company-wide Week of Giving.
Schreiber will work alongside Feeding America and Rise Against Hunger to allocate the funds, with an emphasis on food banks and hunger-relief programs in the areas where Schreiber has offices and plants.
“This donation is a powerful step toward ending hunger,” said Greg Roche, regional philanthropy manager of Rise Against Hunger, in the release. “These meals will reach thousands of people, with a special focus on women who are caring for children and facing the challenges of prenatal care. Schreiber’s support brings hope and helps families move from hunger toward lasting resilience.”
